We stayed 2 nights at 54 Boutique Hotel, Queensgate. The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were not big but were adequate for a short stay and the location is great - walking distance from Kensington High Street (25 mins), Albert Hall (10 mins) and Science and Natural History Museums are opposite the hotel. Weather was great so walked part of the way back to Paddington across Hyde Park. Good value hotel for this part of London.

We went on our trip specifically to go to the Tutankhamun exhibition. It was easy to get to by tube. It takes a good few minutes to walk to the exhibition as the O2 is quite big but lots of restaurants and coffeshops to sit and eat afterwards too. I recommend the audio tour as it does help in orientating you around the exhibiton and absorbing the information. It doesn't take ages to get through the exhibition and you can get through it at a comfortable pace and still read everything. The shop at the end has lots of enticing things so come prepared! We also took in a show while we were there. It was Wicked the Musical at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. It's located directly opposite the entrance of Victoria station and it was excellant. My daughter was blown away by it. We bought the cd and are still playing it. We also went on the London Eye which we enjoyed. It is a good idea to prebook these tickets to avoid the queques at the ticket office. We had a time slot for 4pm but were recommended to go a bit earlier as it could be more crowded then. So we were let on around 3.30. Wasn't keen that you had to hop on to your capsule and hop off it as it kept moving. All in all a very enjoyable trip to London. We will be back!
