For anyone contemplating a short break to London, save yourself a lot of heartache and see what Superbreak can offer. Following the recommendation of a work colleague, I booked a 3-day stay at the Corus hotel which is in a central location only yards from the underground and Hyde Park. The hotel was really nice and staff were all very pleasant and welcoming which was something I hadn't really expected! The breakfasts served were hot, tasty and substantial. Having air-conditioning in the room at a time when the weather was hot was another unexpected bonus. I'd certainly be happy to return here.

Went shopping to Oxford St, Harrods, and Hamleys toy store, hotel just across from Hyde park, and a lovely pub around the corner. Hired limo went to see Mamma Mia (a must.) then back in limo for sight seeing including pub visit. Then dropped of at hotel for night cap.

My wife and I stayed at the Corus hotel on our short break. We booked a "superior" rom as there is much more space and the decor is better. Overall hotel good value (for London.) had one meal there which was excellant. Slight 10 min queue for breakfast on Sunday. Visited the popular sites but one good day was the open top bus.Tour. Bit expensive (£25) but this does include a river trip to Greenwich. The bus takes you on an interesting route and we had an excellent guide.

The room wasn't ready when we got there but we were early they let us leave the cases at the hotel while we went for a walk round Kensington Gardens which was only across the road. The room was small but had every thing you needed and comfortable. The breakfast was plenty and the self service meant you got what you wanted when you wanted. All the hotel staff where good. Freindly and helpfull. Apart from breakfast we had one meal in the hotel which was hot well served and a resonable price. The hotel was very close to all attractions 20 mins from Marble Arch, Bond St & Oxford St. A short taxi drive from the hotel to the theatre and the taxi's were outside the hotel which was an added bonus for getting back to the train station on our return no standing about waiting. Would definitly stay at the Corus Hotel again.
