We stayed at the Saint Gregory - very good hotel in a grotty area.We enjoyed strolling round Spitalfields on Saturday afternoon and recommend the Geffrye Museum. The main purpose of our trip was to see "Porgy and Bess" which we enjoyed enormously. If you want a good value, after-show dinner go to "The Ballerina" in Covent Garden. A great treat was a Sunday morning tour of Spencer House a gem of a town house looking over Green Park. Only open on Sundays and entry by timed ticket it is well worth the trouble. The weather was so perfect we spent Sunday afternoon strolling round the parks and city

An all round excellent weekend including a very good show and enjoying the sights and buzz of London. Recommend using the buses. £3.50 buys an all day ticket allowing you to hop on and off at will.
