Arriving Friday 11th june departing Monday 14th june. Have had a fantastic weekend with my boyfriend recently at Custom House hotel. After I had booked and paid i was a bit pannicky I had only spent £188 for three nights in the hotel with breakfast, so was concerened about where we would be staying. I needn't have worried. Got off the ldr at Custom House and the hotel was over the road - I am not just using that as an expression - it was over the road!! Was greeted by a very friendly lady who checked us in. I had requested a quiet room and it was fab!! We had travelled from Pembrokeshire, west Wales that day so decided to eat in the hotel pub. I expected to pay a lot for our meals but was very surprised we had two main meals for under £20. The food was excellent and freshly cooked - we could see the chef cooking it!! the bar was very clean and tidy with friendly staff. We collapsed into our bed about 10.30 and slept solidly - I have never slept right through in hotel bed before. We slept so well that at 5.30am we were wide awake!! Breakfast was superb with a great selection of food for all tastes. I have to be honest we did pig out at breakfast (well we were on holiday) so much so that we didn't stop for lunch. We ate the hotel bar for the second night of our stay as well. Have to be honest was dreading eating there the second night as England were playing the USA in the world cup, but the food was still outstanding. We had starters this night - big mistake - we struggled to finish our main meals as the starters were so filling (nice complaint to have!) We had a great weekend, the room was cleaned every day including Sunday. The location was ideal for the o2 as we caught the dlr, dont think I would have liked the cost of a taxi mind. An excellent hotel, great value looking to stay there again soon.

Hotels, you get what you pay for. Local area a building site, but dlr on doorstep. Room clean & adequate but nothing to get excited about. Breakfast best part and added value to stay. The boys had a great morning on HMS Belfast and insisted girls would enjoy as well. Girls had good time roaming Covent Garden markets & shops. Excellent theatre show...39 steps at the criterion. Will bring smiles to anybody's face.

Good travel by train, hotel very good, excellent bar/restaurant and a superb chinese restaurant, no need to go far when you can eat there. Excellent position for Excel and Docklands railway a nice easy trip to get you into London centre or railway stations.

Custom House Hotel is well situated for visiting the o2 arena. The window looked out over their back yard and the bed was uncomfortable. Cliff & the shadows were brilliant. The o2 arena is an amazing venue and crowd control was very well organised.
