We were allocated a very small double room on the fourth floor and asked reception to change to somthing bigger. We heard nothing for 20 minutes so went down to customer services and in the end they sorted out a decent room for us. I think because we had booked a special getaway through Superbreak the fobbed us off with the cheapest room possible. We would definitly use this hotel again if a decent double room could be guarenteed. In every other aspect the hotel was great.

Whilst the hotel was in an excellent location and the breakfast also first class, we were disappointed with our room. Located on the 7th floor it was quite small and the bathroom desperately in need of refurbishing. The sink, bath and toilet were all marked and I would probably insist on being moved if given a room like that in future.

The Grosvenor hotel Victoria station was an excellent spot for all the London sights. Buckingham Palace, horse guards, Downing street Green park all easy walking distance from the hotel. The hotel room was a little tired, worn carpet but very quiet and very clean. The breakfasts were excellent, and restaurant staff very attentive. Would stay again to do the sight seeing.

Flew to Stansted -busy airport but very clean and organised.Easy link to rail. Bought return tickets at kiosk at bag reclaim area. As we were going to vVctoira we went by train to Tottenham Hale. From here it was easy to switch to the tube and took us straight to Victoria. Our hotel was right beside station. Worthwhile to get daily tube ticket each day for about £6. Rooms were pretty dated and small for such a nice hotel. Station very noisy at night. Location was excellent though, few yards from Bella Italia and Garfunkels which were both great value for money. Not many bars in the area but theatre show was wonderful. Shopping in Oxford Street was amazing and only two tube stops away. Went on Friday to Chalk Farm which is one stop after Camden Market and has loads of quirky shops and vintage clothes. Well worth a visit. Victoria line was down the day we left so was a bit of a nightmare getting to the airport - various tube changes with two large suitcases, then a bus and then train. Wish we had got the bus direct from hotel even though it took longer. Will know for next time. Thanks again Superbreak!.
