Easy train journey from Newcastle to Kings Cross, booked table seat which made things easier with 2 kids. Saturday night in the west end, rainforest cafe a must, then a great film, how to train your dragon 3d, at the vue Liecester Sq. Book cinema in advance online and ifs half price. Then back to hotel, Novotel Greenwich which is top class. Started Sunday after great nights sleep, with a first class brecky. River cruise from Greenwich to Westminster takes in all the sights. Saved a third by buying travel card for me and wife, this also allows kids free on all tubes and buses.Get off at Westminster and walk along to Big Ben, up through St James park to Buckingham Palace. Then off on the trusty no9 bus to Knightsbridge, Natural History Museum. Will give this a full day next time as so much to see and do. Finally, off to Albert Hall for jls in concert, teenage cancer trust gig..Girls delighted!! After another great nights sleep and top notch breakfast, just enough time to fit in the Royal Maritime museum, and Greenwich Observatory, before heading to Kings Cross, and home. All in all, Greenwich is a little out of London central if you have kids less then 5. But our 6 an 10 year old had no probs and things like the dlr and the river cruise, allow you to see London from every angle, not just tube to tube. Novotel really pushed the boat out for my daughters 6th birthady, and even put a birthday cake in our room when we arrived, felt like royalty!! Can't wait to go back to the capital in the late summer, and will definately be using Superbreak, and Novotel if possible. Best weekend ever, thanks!.

Unfortunately due to overground trains not working at Highbury & Islington we missed the show but we thought the hotel was sublime. We arrived about 8.15pm then showered and ate in the hotel restaurant which again was sublime and reasonably priced too, then it was off to bed. We had breakfast in the morning and I've never had so much to choose from and it was a great way to start the day. Then we checked out & it was time to hit the shops! we throughly enjoyed our stay even though we missed the show at the theatre.

We had a very reasonable deal for theatre and two nights accomodation. We parked our car for a very fair price at the hotels car park. We were very pleased with our seats at theatre, we were 2 adults and 2 (large) children in one hotel room, which was cramped but comfortable, keep very clean. We enjoyed being in Greenwich and found the train (next door to hotel), very easy to use.

We found the Novotel Greenwich was a great spot to stay. We were away with our 5 year old daughter and found this hotel was away from the bustle of the city yet easy to get in and out of central London. In the cold weather we could wait in the hotel foyer till 2 minutes before the train was due as the hotel is literally next door to the station. The rooms are funtional and clean which was all we needed as we were not in the hotel a great deal. The restaurant breakfast was better than some I've had in 5 star hotels for choice. We had an evening snack also in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. The staff bent over backwards to make our little girl feel at home. Given we paid only £50 a night b&b we were really pleased and will definitely use the hotel again the next time we visit London.
