Found the room to be very shabby. Part of the paper off the wall and scuffed furniture. Bathroom looked very tired. Bed small. Not the usual standard like that of a Marriott Hotel. After complaining we received an upgrade to the next sized room for the 1 night (Sat) Overall the hotel needs a good overall

On arrival the reception staff member was very friendly and helpful. Very good location we went to the matinee performance of Chicago which was directly opposite the Hotel and we finished the evening with a very enjoyable meal in the Hotel Dial restaurant in a very comfortable atmosphere.

A flying visit to take in the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at the British Museum before it closed. Wonderful. Also went to the Ideal Home Show as it was on at the same time, my wife loved it. Went to a show. Ate out at Smiths of Smithfield the restaurant of John Torode the TV Chef. Perhaps he is spending too much time on telly as we were underwhelmed by the food in his top floor restaurant. Very average particularly when the price is taken into consideration.
