Short Break In London

A customer who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

We enjoyed staying at the Southwark Rose Hotel -- although quite large, the atmosphere is friendly and informal and the staff are excellent and very helpful. If you prefer a quiet night, ask for a room on the car park side of the hotel -- the front of the hotel looks towards Southwark Bridge Road and can be noisy. The buffet breakfast is very good and you can upgrade to a full English breakfast for £4. The rooms are relatively large and all have screens which double as TV and computer screens (although internet access is chargeable). There is free internet access up in the restaurant, though, along with printing -- reasonable use applies! Beds and pillows may be hard for some tastes -- really our only reservation! Very good overall.

London Break

A customer from SHEFFIELD who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

We enjoyed our Easter break in London very much.It was our second visit to The Southwark Rose hotel which was chosen because of locality to Borough Market. The Globe Theatre and the Tower. We enjoyed our morming at Borough Market the food and atmosphere was wonderful. The guide at the Globe was very good and informative but disliked the queues at the Tower.

Short Break in London

A customer who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

The hotel was only a short walk from one of the tube stations plus was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go and as the weather so so good it was nice to walk, although the tube and train were just as simpe to navigate your way around. the market in covent garden was lovely with some very unique things to buy. The hotel was excellant, clean and very quiet, so much so that we thought we were the only ones staying their until we went for breakfast. The food was lovely with a good choice, all the staff were polite and helpful. the room design was super, would stay there again if going back to the same area
