We booked to stay at the Strand Palace hotel, London with tickets to see the Lion King show on the day we arrived. We were pleased that with our hotel we had breakfast and a complimentry access to the virgin health spa located just accross the road from the hotel. This was a very nice spa, even more so since it was included in the price of the room. The Lion King show in the evening was fantasic, tickets were quite expensive but it was worth the money and the seats were good. On day two we started off with breakfast at the hotel, which had a great selection on offer. We then had a walk around London visiting the normal tourist attractions. It was a lot of walking but fun at the same time. We then went to rainforest cafe in the evening which was pre-booked (recommended). This is a great dinng experince and well worth a visit. We then returned home the next day and all in all a good trip.

The hotel is located 5 mins from Covent Garden. The hotel is also in theatre-land, 15 mins from the furthest theatre, 5 mins from the Thames. Reccommend a boat trip to Greenwich for a great day out, take a picnic.

Strand Palace hotel is in a great position 10min walk from Waterloo, 3 minutes to theatres (saw Oliver) & Covent Garden. Very busy and excessively hot - no air con. I would stay here again as it was close to everything we wanted and would reccomend to anyone.

Went to London for short break, seeing shows in the evening and being tourists during day. Hotel in excellent location for most west end shows and close to tube for those further a field. Recommend club rooms over standard as more comfortable. Breakfast choice excellent. Less than 10 minute walk to Legally Blonde, Love Never Dies, Lion King, Oliver, Mamma Mia, Shaftesbury avanue and more. Would highly recommend Billy Elliott at Victoria Palace and Les Miserables as favourite musicals. Stay in the heart of London and be part of the hustle and bustle. Close to many London landmarks would highly recommend this hotel.
