It was Mel C's last performance the evening we went. She was absolutely stunning as Mrs Johnson - truely believable and well cast. She sang the final song with such passion and conviction it moved me to tears and indeed the cast were emotional too! 'Micky' was very witty and I simply forgot grown men were playing the part of young children as they were so clever and believable. The set changes were slick and the narrator was a spine-tingly reminder of the 'consciences' of the key characters. The whole cast were excellent and it was a truly clever, moving and memorable musical. You will be humming 'tell me it's not true' for weeks afterwards. A must see musical!.

Mel C in a remarkable performance, shame she is leaving soon. Rest of cast, particularly her two sons played their hearts out to give a really memorable performance. Ingenious use of set and props to change scenes.

Absolutely stunning - I have never seen such an emotional performance. Both Mrs Johnstone (Mel C) and Linda looked completely drained by the end - absolutely outstanding. The music, atmosphere, costumes, dialogue were all superbly supported by an outstanding cast. I cannot recommend this show enough - I preferred it even to Billy Elliott and Oliver! would definitely see it again.
