Hotel ideally situated for Victoria coach station and within walking distance of London attractions. Bedroom overlooked a decorative courtyard which was just as well as we had to sleep with the windows open all night as the room was very warm. Tried altering the heating/air conditioning but didn't seem to make a great deal of difference and it was noisy. That said, we were very pleased with the hotel and the service received. The staff were polite and accommodating.

Trip to Chatsworth house. Rail travel to & from Newcastle was good. Hotel was below average in particular the ensuite bathroom had an unpleasant musty smell. Day out on oreint express to chatsworth was excellent. Highlight was evening meal. Only quibble is that a very ordinary bottle of rioja cost £40!.

There is plenty to do and see in London for all ages and budgets. It is easy to get around on the tube or buses and there are attractions to see everywhere you go. The Thistle Westminister is situated directly in the centre of all attractions and 3 m ins walking distance of Victoria station.

The weekend, Saturday and Sunday morning, was excellent. You could throw a blanket over the hotel, theatre and victoria train station, with all being so close to each other. This negated the hassle of the tube or the expense of taxis. The hotel, Thistle at Westminster, was superb. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room standard was very good - quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was well cooked and presented with the staff all working hard to keep up with the demand of all the guests. I would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending it to any of my friends (something that I've already done).
