I had a fantastic weekend staying in London at the Sidney hotel in Victoria. It was situatied in a fantastic place, less then 5min walk from Pimlico underground which is on the Victoria line so Oxford St, Covent Garden, Leicester Sq, Green Park and all the local attractions were extremly easily accsessible. Checking in at the hotel was ncie and easy as I was staying with a friend who was travelling from somewhere else I arrived earlier and was able to check in without my 2nd person 2hours before her arrival which was fantastic and the staff was nice and friendly and breakfast at the hotel was nice and easy to get in the restaurant downstairs. I would definietly recommand this hotel for anyone wanting to visit the west end or central London as it is very easy and accessible for most of the attractions and is a prime location with restaurants and pubs right across the road for evening meals. Although the only down side of the hotels comes with the tv costing to watch but luckily we were never in the hotel room so this didn't bother us although it is sometimes nice to have background noise inbetween getting ready and things.

Our weekend was spent in our favourite hotel, staff are very friendly and we find it very easy to get around London as the 24 bus stops outside, this visit we just relaxed. Have been to this hotel numerous times and always enjoyed it. Visited Harrods which was different bought a few bargains as the sale was on.

The Victoria Inn was undergoing refurbishment. Our room was newly upgraded with an excellent bathroom and comfortable beds. The breakfast room was tiny and dark, and the choice of breakfast limited, but staff were excellent and the "restaurant" was next to be upgraded. For the money, this hotel was excellent value and all you need for a sightseeing break in London. The location was very convenient for all major attractions. Grumbles restaurant, around the corner, served lovely food, but we found their pricing policy a little naughty. When we passed at 5.00pm there was a board outside advertising a fixed price two course menu for £9.75. When we returned at 7.45, the board had changed to say this menu was only available before 7.30pm, and on top of the discretionary 12.5% service charge, they had the cheek to charge a cover charge!.
